The sweet baby blue dress worn by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter Lilibet for her first birthday party has been identified by royal fans, but the company has sadly gone out of business.
The sweet style features a subtle blue and white zig-zag and smock on the neckline, and appears to be an outfit by California-based designer Isabel Garreton. It comes with a bonnet and pants that match.
“We will be closing Isabel Garreton, Inc. in the coming month,” the company announced in May. “I founded Isabel Garreton, Inc. over 30 years ago with one goal in mind: to provide a dignified work opportunity to underprivileged women through the development of a finely designed and crafted collection of children’s clothing.”
“The Isabel Garreton brand’s longevity, the number and exclusivity of its loyal customers accumulated over 30 years, its presence in the best stores in the country, and its lack of debt piqued interest in the Isabel Garreton brand.”
“We considered selling the brand, but decided against it because it is my name, and no interested parties could persuade me that they would continue the ethical manufacturing approach that has defined who we are.”

Part of the reason for the company’s creation was to “support the advancement of underprivileged women” and to help break “the cycle of poverty.”
To commemorate their daughter’s first birthday, Harry and Meghan shared a new photo of her taken at her birthday party in London during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations on Monday, June 6th.
The young girl was dressed in a blue dress with a white bow in her hair when the photo was taken. Her ginger hair matches that of her father Harry and older brother Archie.
Misan Harriman, a close family friend and guest, took the photo at Frogmore Cottage for Lilibet’s special day, which included a casual, intimate backyard picnic.
Misan posted another photo to his Instagram account, this time featuring Meghan and Lili, as well as his wife and two children.
“It was such a privilege to celebrate Lilibet’s 1st birthday with my family and hers!” he captioned the photo. There was a lot of joy and face painting going on.”
Claire Ptak of Violet Bakery in East London created a special cake for Lilibet; Ptak was also in charge of the Duke and Duchess’ wedding cake in 2018.
