Royal family members pen heartfelt messages to Lilibet on her first birthday

Royal Family : The Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have all sent heartfelt messages to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter Lilibet, who celebrated her first birthday on Saturday.

The royals took to Twitter to express their gratitude to royal fans. “Wishing Lilibet a very Happy 1st Birthday!” wrote the Royal family’s official page. To commemorate the special occasion, a balloon emoji was used.

“Wishing a very happy birthday to Lilibet, who turns one today!” Kate and William wrote, followed by a ballon emoji. “Wishing Lilibet a very happy 1st birthday today!” Charles and Camilla wrote alongside a cake emoji.

Fans were also quick to respond to the royals’ tweets with their own messages for the baby.

“To the most wonderful baby in the world,” one wrote. Lilibet, have a wonderful first birthday!”

“Happy birthday, Lilibet!” said another. I believe the Queen’s decision to spend her weekend celebrations with her own family is the best thing she could have done.

“For 70 years, she’s prioritized the crown and public engagements; this is her weekend, and she’s making the most of it!”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a three-year-old son, Archie, and Lilibet is their youngest child.

According to the BBC, the family of four is currently in the United Kingdom to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, but they have expressed a desire to “keep a low profile.”

Lilibet, who was born last year at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California, was named after her great-grandmother, who was known as Lilibet as an infant, despite only meeting the Queen for the first time on Friday.

Princess Elizabeth was given the name Lilibet when she was a toddler and couldn’t pronounce her own name properly.

Her grandfather, King George V, would fondly refer to her as “Lilibet,” a play on her own attempts to pronounce Elizabeth.

Diana was chosen as her middle name in honor of her late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.
