Princess Charlotte has shown her determination to make her mark on history by refusing to take her father Prince William’s hand as she smiles on Buckingham Palace’s balcony.
The young princess was joined by her siblings, Prince George and Prince Louis, as they stood in awe of the spectacular aerial display. Following an appearance at Horse Guards Parade for Trooping the Colour, members of the Royal Family returned to the palace to wave to the crowds.

Princess Charlotte beamed, laughed, and enthusiastically raised her hands as she and her family watched the flyover from the Buckingham Palace balcony.
Louis and Charlotte, the duke and duchess’ younger two children, were also seen peering out of the central window at Horse Guards Parade, pointing towards the ceremony.
The princess made her debut in the carriage procession at the Platinum Jubilee, riding alongside her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, and her brothers.
All three Cambridge children have previously participated in the ceremony, but never on this scale.
The crowds were treated to a carriage procession featuring Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, as well as their proud mother Kate and step-grandmother Camilla.
As the crowds waved at the young royals, the trio returned the wave in their first major public appearance since the Jubilee.

In a carriage, Prince Louis sat between his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
The children waved to the crowds while dressed in a light blue, navy, and white color scheme.
Charlotte appeared to push Louis’s hand down as he waved enthusiastically at one point.
As the carriage left the palace, Charlotte, dressed in a cornflower blue gown, squinted in the morning sunlight.
Princess Charlotte melted hearts earlier this month when she was photographed smiling with her family’s cocker spaniel to celebrate her seventh birthday.

The photos were taken in Norfolk and show the gap in her teeth as she smiled cheekily in the midst of bluebells.
During public appearances, the princess has a history of not holding her father’s hand.
Charlotte let go of her father’s hand as they approached the theatre entrance during a Christmas pantomime play in 2020.
The Princess seemed more interested in savoring the moment on her own as Prince William reached down to reclaim it, leaving the Duke of Cambridge to give her a small stroke on the head instead.

The princess wore a cornflower blue dress on the balcony for this historic occasion.
