The four-year-old Prince Louis, who was standing next to his great-grandmother, the Queen, waved to the sky and was later seen holding his hands over his ears as the plane flew overhead, prompting his mother Kate to bend down and speak with him.
To the delight of royal watchers, Her Majesty was seen interacting with Prince Louis. Before returning to the palace, the monarch waved to the crowds and smiled throughout the flypast. Today is my birthday.
Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex, along with their children, were among the senior royals on the balcony.
The Cambridge children had earlier joined their mother Kate in their first carriage procession as the Queen’s 70-year reign was commemorated over the four-day weekend.
