The Marshall Plan for Moms is a movement that advocates for policies that support mothers in the country’s economic recovery. Meghan, 40, said in a statement, “Families everywhere, especially working moms, are asked to shoulder so much.”

“With increased caregiving responsibilities, rising prices, and economic uncertainty, this has only been exacerbated by the pandemic.”

“As has been said many times, raising a child takes a village,” she added.

“We’re sending a message today that childcare isn’t just a community need; it’s also a business need. Meeting the needs of families is the first step toward building a stronger workforce.”

The statement follows the announcement that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will bring their children Archie and Lilibet to the United Kingdom in June 2022.

“Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are excited and honored to attend The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this June with their children,” a spokeswoman for Harry and Meghan said.

It will be the first visit to the UK by Harry and Meghan’s family since they left for the United States in 2020.

The Duke previously stated that he wished to return to his homeland but that he did not feel safe doing so due to his lack of security. Their daughter Lilibet was born in June 2021 and was named after Her Majesty, but she has never met her great-grandmother or extended family.

Lili, as she is known, has never been photographed in public and was only photographed once last year for the Sussexes’ Christmas card.
