And now she’s having to deal with yet another setback. Meghan, 40, had applied to reactivate The Tig trademark in September of last year, and it had been widely reported that she hoped to keep the domain name for her lifestyle blog, The Tig.
When Prince Harry’s wife married into the British royal family in May 2018, she had to deactivate the blog, which included everything from her favorite wines to her favorite vacation spots.
According to Richard Eden of the Daily Mail, her reapplication for 2021 had a flaw: she had failed to sign it.
Meghan has reportedly been told by the United States Patent and Trademark Office that she will have to wait another six months before applying again. She was also told that the blog’s original description was “too broad.”
Despite the recent setbacks, Meghan was upbeat over the weekend as she supported her husband during a friendly game of polo at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club.
Markus Anderson, the Director of Soho House, was her longtime best friend who attended the event.
Markus has witnessed some of the Duchess’ most significant life events.
Markus was present when she finally made her relationship with Prince Harry public at the Invictus Games in Toronto. In 2018, when Soho House opened a new hotel in Amsterdam, he also attended her wedding in Windsor and hosted the couple there.
The private members’ club is well-known among Prince Harry and Meghan’s friends, and they even went on their first date there in 2016.
