To commemorate his fourth birthday, his mother has released four new photos of Prince Louis.Louis appears to have inherited his parents’ love of sports, preparing for a barefoot sprint across the sand in one image and brandishing a cricket ball in two others, all with a broad grin on his face and a striking resemblance to both his father Prince William and his grandfather Michael Middleton.
The photos were taken in Norfolk earlier this month and show him running on a seemingly deserted beach while smiling broadly in the sand.
He’s holding an orange cricket ball in another picture.
Anmer Hall, his parents’ second home, was given to them by the Queen.
The stunning beaches of North Norfolk have long been a favorite of young royals, with the Queen herself visiting them while staying at Sandringham to enjoy the fresh sea air.
With Holkham Beach only a half-hour drive from their Norfolk home, William and Kate have been frequent visitors with Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, who turns seven on May 2, and four-year-old Prince Louis.
Prince Louis was born on April 23, 2018, and is the eldest of Prince William and Kate’s children. He is the fifth in line to the throne, after his older siblings, father, and Prince Charles.
Princess Charlotte will turn seven in a few weeks, while his brother George will turn nine in July.
The Duchess of Cambridge, a keen photographer who normally takes official photos of her children, took all of the photographs.
Kate dressed Louis in a rucksack and a red bike for his third birthday, as if he were about to start nursery.
This week, the young prince isn’t the only member of the royal family who has a birthday.
On Thursday, the Queen turned 96, and a photo of her with two white ponies in Windsor was released.
Prince Harry, Louis’ uncle, has also made headlines recently after saying on US television that he feels his mother Diana’s guidance “more than ever before.”
