Prince Harry’s accessory has the sweetest nod to son Archie during New York trip

On Thursday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle paid a touching visit to New York’s One World Trade Center, their first public appearance together since the birth of their daughter Lilibet.

At the skyscraper’s observatory, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were joined by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York State Governor Kathy Hochul. The visit comes just two weeks after the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, when One World Trade Center was built on the site of the original twin towers.

Harry had an iPad case with him on the trip, and it was engraved with the sweetest nod to his son, Archie, with the words “Archie & Papa.” What a lovely gesture!

Harry and Meghan’s firstborn child, Archie Harrison, was born on May 6, 2019.

Harry and Meghan revealed the name of their son on Instagram, alongside a beautiful photo of the Queen meeting her new great-grandchild.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce the birth of their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor,” the caption read. Their Royal Highnesses presented Her Majesty The Queen with her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle this afternoon.

“For this special occasion, the Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess’ mother were also present.” Harrison means’son of Harry,’ while Archie means ‘true and bold.’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were asked if they were enjoying their visit to New York during their trip, and Meghan responded, “It’s wonderful to be back.”

Following that, Harry and Meghan paid their respects by paying a visit to the ground-floor 9/11 memorial.

As they walked away, a crowd greeted them, with Meghan giving a thumbs up to fans and one congratulating them on the birth of Lilibet.

The couple will not only be in New York for the trip, but also for the 24-hour broadcast Global Citizen Live, which will take place in New York’s famous Central Park and around the world.

It’s part of a series of shows put on by the organization Global Citizen in cities ranging from London to Lagos, with acts like Ed Sheeran, Sir Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Metallica, and Coldplay set to perform.

In honor of Archie’s second birthday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex advocated for vaccine equity and urged people to support the Global Citizen COVAX campaign.

Harry’s sustainable tourism initiative, Travalyst, announced that Google will join its coalition as a partner alongside existing partners Booking.com, Skyscanner, Trip.com Group, Tripadvisor, and Visa, ahead of their first appearance in New York.
