PRINCE LOUIS traveled to the United Kingdom for the first time with Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and his two siblings.
The Cambridge royals attended James Middleton’s wedding in a small ceremony in France over the weekend. Kate’s brother married his three-year-long girlfriend Alizée Thevenet.
James announced his marriage to “the love of his life” in France in an Instagram post.
“Mr & Mrs Middleton,” he wrote in a heartfelt tribute.
“I married the love of my life yesterday in the beautiful village of Bormes-les-Mimosas, surrounded by family, friends, and, of course, a few dogs.
“Words are inadequate to express my joy.”
According to reports from Hello! Magazine and ANI news agency, Prince William, Kate, and their three children attended the weddings.
It was the three-year-old Prince’s first trip outside the United Kingdom since his birth in 2018.
Louie was born two months after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge returned from a tour of Scandinavian countries, and William followed two months later with a tour of Jordan, Israel, and Palestine.
Kate and Prince William traveled to Ireland without their children just weeks before Prime Minister Boris Johnson issued the first national lockdown in England.
The coronavirus pandemic disrupted the royal calendar, causing Louis’s first trip abroad with his family to be postponed even further.
Before they turned two, Prince George and Princess Charlotte flew overseas to accompany their parents on important engagements.
When George was nine months old, he went on his first official tour, which took him to Australia from April 7 to April 25, 2014.
Charlotte visited Canada when she was 16 months old, between September 24 and October 1, 2016.
Kate’s parents, Carole and Mike Middleton, as well as her sister, Pippa, and brother-in-law, James Matthews, and their two young children, Arthur and Grace, were among the guests at James’ wedding.
Jean-Gabriel, the bride’s father and a retired French diplomat, was also present.
“My daughter Alizée is very happy with James,” he said in a 2019 interview. They’re head over heels in love.
“I’m sure she’s overjoyed. We’re crossing our fingers for them.”
Reports are reliable. When James’ therapy dog Ella “made a beeline” for her instead of a nearby water bowl at a London sports club, he met Alizée for the first time.
During the lockdown, the couple stayed at James’ parents’ house in Berkshire.
Due to the Covid pandemic and lockdown restrictions, James and Alizée had to postpone their wedding twice.
“They’re just so happy it’s finally going ahead,” a source close to the couple told Hello! Magazine.
