Even before she became a member of the royal family, Meghan Markle was known for her fashion taste. She’s always known how to dress her best, whether she’s an actor, a lifestyle blogger, or a princess. Many people have inquired about the brands she wears to achieve her fashionable looks, as she is one of the most fashionable celebrities in the world (she has even been named one of Britain’s best dressed). Let’s take a deeper look at some of Meghan Markle’s most well-known outfits, as well as the many brands of clothing she favors.
What brands of clothes does Meghan Markle wear?
It’s no surprise that the Duchess of Sussex enjoys the finer things in life. She appears to appreciate Canadian and French labels in general, maybe due to her ties to the country, as her own clothing lines were published through Reitmans (obviously). Givenchy and Altuzarra are responsible for many of her most iconic ensembles, with many outfits featuring these two labels. She was also credited for rekindling Strathberry’s fame in 2017 after she was sighted carrying one of their bags. Brands like Brock Collection, Jason Wu, Carolina Herrera, and others are also favorites.
Of course, no luxury wardrobe is complete without a few items from HUGO, Oscar de la Renta, Dior, Gucci, Burberry, and Prada. Some labels, like as Dior, have even created special ensembles for her.
Markle also dresses down with more affordable brands
Despite her status as royalty, Markle hasn’t fully abandoned our everyday clothes and styles. Aritzia, a more cheap brand, is one such example, which she’s been seen wearing even at more upscale events on occasion. Reiss is another example of a brand that has witnessed an increase in sales as a result of her wearing their products in public. Club Monaco is a bit more luxury, but it’s also more practical for us to attain if we want to steal her appearance. She’s also been spotted with Ralph Lauren and J. Crew accessories on her person.
She’s had some truly iconic looks over the years
While having a few high-end labels in your wardrobe is good, it doesn’t mean much if you can’t put them together into a couple of outfits. Fortunately for us, the Duchess has more than two famous outfits from which to chose. Markle has always been known for her amazing outfits, even before joining the royal family.
During her acting days, she made one of her first show-stopping fashion statements. She wore a Jason Wu gown to the Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards in 2016. With its very deep plunging neckline, asymmetric hem, and subtle chevron design, this exquisite black number dazzled.
According to Elle, the Duchess followed up in 2018 by wearing another of Wu’s costumes at the 100 Days to Peace event, this time a royal blue sleeveless dress. To complete the ensemble, she added a pair of Aquazzura shoes and a gray Dior clutch.
Dior was tasked with creating a special ensemble for her to wear for the Royal Air Force’s 100th anniversary celebration. It was made up of a dark navy midi dress and a pair of nude shoes. She completed the look with a Stephen Jones fascinator, which lived up to its reputation.
Finally, we have one of her most fashionable ensembles that she donned just for pleasure. Her gray Camilla & Marc blazer complemented her white Altuzarra dress, which featured black pinstripes and buttons. This famous style was completed with dark Tamara Mellon shoes and a black and white Orton cross-body bag.
