The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are “seriously considering” moving to Windsor to be closer to Queen Elizabeth II.

This could indicate that Kate and William are on their way to becoming more senior members of the royal family.
The Cambridge family currently divides their time between Kensington Palace, where they also have offices, and Anmer Hall, their country home on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
The Queen gave the couple Anmer Hall as a wedding gift, and they made it their permanent residence between 2015 and 2017.
The duke and duchess would be able to commute into London more easily if they were permanently based in Windsor, and they would be closer to Kate’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, who live in Bucklebury.
