Kate and William face heartbreaking decision with George and Charlotte

Kate and William family is preparing to commemorate Princess Diana’s death on Tuesday, August 31, 1997, when she died tragically in a car accident. The day is thought to be especially significant for Kate and William as they consider how much information they will share with Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three, about her death. William, on the other hand, has always stated that he wants his children to know “who she was and that she existed.”

He said he “constantly” talks to his children “about Granny Diana” at bedtime so they know “there are two grandmothers in their lives” during a documentary Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy in 2017.

“We have more photos of her up around the house now, and we talk about her a little,” the future king explained.

George, Charlotte, and Louis also paid tribute to their “Granny Diana” earlier this year.

In a Mother’s Day card, Charlotte wrote: “On Mother’s Day, I’m thinking of you, Granny Diana. I am deeply in love with you. Papa is longing for you. Charlotte, I adore you.”

In the meantime, George’s card read: “Greetings, Granny Diana Mother’s Day, Mother’s Day, Mother’s Day, Mother’s Day, Mother’s Sending lots of love from George xxxxx. I adore you and think of you all the time.”

Louis also sent Diana a homemade card to express his gratitude.

This week, the Royal Family will honour Diana with the unveiling of a statue of her commissioned by Prince William and Prince Harry.

The statue, which is located at Kensington Palace in London, will be open to the public on Tuesday from 3-5pm.

“We will be providing access to the Cradle Walk, which is essentially the beautiful walkway around the Sunken Garden,” the Royal Palaces said.

“We will be opening that up, free of charge, for passers-by or anyone who wants to stop and take a moment on that Tuesday, especially for the anniversary,” the statement continued.
