Charlotte and Louis to have ‘less royal existence’ after Harry mistakes, claims expert

According to one expert, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis may not be as involved with the royal family and the monarchy as they grow up.

Prince George, their older brother, is destined to become King one day, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s second and third-born children’s futures are less certain.

Their uncle Prince Harry is the second-born child of older brother Prince William, and he and his wife Meghan Markle left the royal family in a dramatic exit last year.

And now, according to royal author Ingrid Seward, Charlotte and Louis may have a “less royal existence” when Prince Charles becomes king, owing to his reported desire for a slimmed-down monarchy.

“When they’re growing up, their grandfather will be on the throne for a while, and he’s talked about this slimmed-down monarchy,” Ingrid told Newsweek. It’s possible that they won’t be very involved at all.

“I believe they will require more freedom. Charles is obviously right in the middle of Harry’s firing line. So he can learn from his mistakes with Harry.

“Harry essentially did what he wanted. Up to a point, William felt the same way. However, I believe Charlotte and Louis will have a significantly reduced royal presence.”

Ingrid did say, however, that she believes no changes to the monarchy will be made until “the Queen has gone to greener pastures.”

It was reported earlier this year that Charles’ plan for a streamlined monarchy would include a team of seven senior royals, excluding Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Prince Andrew.

“Prince Charles has wanted for a very long time to cut the monarchy down to save costs and to make people worth the money that they got from the taxpayer,” royal author Angela Levin previously told talkRADIO.

“I believe the outer edge, which the Queen has wanted to keep together for a long time for sentimental reasons, and which she didn’t particularly want to change at her age, which I understand.”

“However, he wants to change, and I believe he will.”

After the Covid lockdown, the Queen, Charles, Camilla, Princess Anne, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Edward, and Sophie Wessex gathered at Windsor Castle for a reunion photo.

“The family is united in exploring the possibilities of working with each other to highlight the causes dear to their hearts, helping each other and the country at the same time,” a royal source said at the time.

“They ‘need to be seen to be believed,’ as the Queen has often said – and this is coming from the very top.”
