Meghan Markle’s bio on royal family website finally updated after two month delay

Meghan Markle’s bio on the official website of the royal family has finally been updated to reflect her new status as a mother of two.

Lilibet Diana, Meghan and Prince Harry’s daughter, was born on June 4 in California, with names that honour both the Queen and her late grandmother, Princess Diana.

Meghan’s information page on the site still listed her as a mother of one to two-year-old son Archie up until the end of July, according to the Sun.

And the change to show Meghan now has two children was made just a few weeks ago.

“The Duchess of Sussex, born Rachel Meghan Markle, married Prince Harry in May 2018 at St George’s Chapel, Windsor,” her bio now reads. Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor are the Duke and Duchess’s two children.”

However, this isn’t the first time the royal family’s website has appeared to be out of date.

Last month, royal fans inquired as to why Lilibet had not been included on the website’s page describing the line of succession.

It was eventually updated, but only seven weeks after her birth.

When Lilibet’s older brother Archie was born in 2019, the website was updated to include him in the line of succession after just 15 days.

When Prince Louis, a cousin, was born in 2018, the website was updated 12 days after he was born.

The Royal Family website is “updated periodically,” according to a spokesman for Buckingham Palace.

Because Lilibet is eighth in the line of succession, Prince Andrew falls to ninth.

Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Prince Harry, and her brother Archie are all on the list above her.

Harry and Meghan named their new daughter after the Queen’s childhood nickname, but she will be known as Lili, according to Harry and Meghan.

“Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet,” they said in a statement.

“Diana was chosen as her middle name in honour of her late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.”

However, there have been conflicting reports on whether the couple asked the Queen for permission to use her family nickname as a first name.

And it’s possible that it’ll be addressed in Prince Harry’s memoir, which is set to be released late next year.

It will cover his entire public life, including his military service, marriage, and fatherhood.
