The Obamas Would Side With Prince William Over Prince Harry Amid Royal Rift, Expert Claims

In recent years, Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, have become increasingly estranged. They aren’t on speaking terms right now, according to reports.

Many fans are left wondering which side their celebrity friends will support. According to a royal expert, Barack and Michelle Obama are one couple who would allegedly support William.

The Obamas’ relationship with the royal family is long and tumultuous.
The Obamas have had a good relationship with the royal family since Barack Obama became president.

The Obamas, for example, paid a visit to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip at Buckingham Palace in 2009. The presidential and royal couples appeared to get along swimmingly. Her Majesty was even referred to by Barack as “one of my favorite people.”

The Obamas became friends with William and Harry as well. Barack and Michelle Obama met with William, Harry, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince George at Kensington Palace in 2016.

Michelle and Harry have also collaborated on promoting the Invictus Games for military veterans. In addition, Harry conducted an interview with Barack Obama for BBC Radio 4 in 2017.

According to a royal expert, the Obamas would support Prince William over Prince Harry.

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan

Despite the fact that the Obamas have not publicly stated their support for anyone in the midst of the royal schism, royal expert Angela Levin believes Barack and Michelle would prefer William to Harry. This is because “the Obamas are also close to Prince William and his family,” according to Levin.

“Who can forget that night in 2016 when they went to dinner with William and Catherine at their home and met Prince George, who was three years old at the time and dressed in his dressing gown?” Levin contributed to The Sun. “I’m confident that if they say we can only deal with one brother and his wife — you can’t have both because they’re so far apart now — they’ll direct their attention to William.”

“The Obamas clearly always regarded Harry highly, but I am sure they can see through Meghan,” Levin added, clarifying that the Obamas allegedly do not dislike Harry. They’ll probably stick around, but they won’t be as friendly as they used to be.”

Michelle Obama may have cast doubt on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship.

CBS aired an explosive interview between Harry and Meghan with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021. During the interview, the couple publicly chastised the royal family and claimed they had been treated unfairly.

Following that, Michelle spoke with Today about her thoughts. “Public service is a bright, sharp, hot spotlight, and most people don’t understand it, nor should they,” Michelle said when host Jenna Bush Hager asked what went through her mind as she watched the interview. The one thing I always remember in public service is that it’s not about us; it’s about the people we serve. I always try to push the light back out and direct it toward the people we’re here to help.”

This was a “thinly-veiled swipe” at the Sussexes, according to the Daily Mail. “We can all live a life of service,” Harry and Meghan said in a statement released before the interview aired. “Service is a universal concept.”
