Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle relationship has been in the spotlight since before Meghan married Prince Harry in 2018. Shortly after Meghan and Harry’s wedding, rumors about the two women began to circulate, with reports that Meghan and Kate did not get along.
That has been the case for several years, though Meghan did make a point in her Oprah Winfrey interview to call Kate a “good person.” And, rumor has it, Kate and Meghan are finally patching things up, following the birth of their daughter by Meghan and Harry.
The relationship between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle did not seem to improve after Meghan and Harry moved in together.
The press and the public expected Meghan and Kate to become best friends when they first met. Kate and Meghan attended Wimbledon together, and their body language indicated that they were getting along well. However, over time, rumors began to circulate that relations between the two were deteriorating faster than previously thought.
The British press continued to put Kate on a pedestal over the next few years, while Meghan’s reports were often more negative. Despite the fact that neither of them ever admitted to having a feud, they didn’t spend much time together. Despite this, they never said anything negative about each other.
Meghan told Oprah Winfrey when she and Harry moved to the United States that Kate is a “good person” and that she wanted to clear the air about a few things (including the rumor that she once made Kate cry). Even though the duchesses didn’t seem to get any closer after Harry and Meghan’s royal departure, Meghan didn’t say anything negative about Kate.
Since Lilibet’s birth, Kate Middleton has reportedly been in contact with Meghan Markle.
Kate and Meghan are rumored to be getting closer — perhaps distance makes the heart grow fonder. Lilibet Diana, Meghan’s second child with Harry and the couple’s first daughter, was born recently. According to reports, Meghan and Kate’s relationship has improved as a result of Lilibet’s birth.
Meghan and Kate have been in touch more frequently since Lilibet’s birth, according to the Express, and a source claims Kate has “been reaching out to Meghan a lot more” since the birth.
According to Express, relationship expert Sami Wunder believes Meghan and Kate’s relationship is “on the mend.”
“I haven’t seen anything new or negative from Harry and Meghan since Lili’s birth in the last month, and I believe Kate is making amends and attempting to appease Meghan.”
Lilibet has yet to be introduced to the royal family by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Since he and Meghan moved to the United States, Harry has returned to the United Kingdom twice. Meghan is still missing, most likely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The couple has also avoided introducing their daughter to the royal family. (Or at least not in person.)
It’s unclear when Harry and Meghan will return to the United Kingdom as a family. With the Delta variant of the coronavirus on the rise, it appears even less likely that Harry and Meghan will bring their young children to the United Kingdom anytime soon.
