Meghan Duchess of Sussex, has a birthday, and the royal family has taken to social media to wish her a happy birthday. Today is the former actress’s 40th birthday.
On the official royal family Twitter account, the family shared a series of photos of Meghan and Harry, as well as one of Meghan and the Queen smiling together.

Meghan is expected to celebrate her milestone birthday in a low-key manner today, rather than throwing a lavish party. According to reports, she plans to spend her big day “privately” at her home in Montecito, California, with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Archie Harrison and Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
Since the birth of her daughter in June, Meghan has kept a low profile. In a statement on their website, Archewell, the couple confirmed their plans to take a break from work.
“While the duke and duchess are on parental leave, Archewell will continue to do important work and publish stories on the site,” a note at the bottom of Lili’s birth announcement stated. “We are excited to see you!”
They continue to donate nappies to mothers in need as part of their charitable efforts.
Last month, Harry and Meghan donated a large amount of Pampers baby nappies to Harvest Home as part of the company’s Million Acts of Love Campaign, according to the charity’s Instagram account. The charity posted a photo of a large number of nappy packages with a caption thanking the Sussexes for their generosity. Harvest Home is a nonprofit organization that helps homeless pregnant women in and around Los Angeles get back on their feet by providing for them and their children.

Meghan is also executive producing a new Netflix children’s TV series called Pearl, which was confirmed last month. According to an official announcement from the streaming giant, the animated show will follow the adventures of a 12-year-old girl who “is inspired by a variety of influential women from history.”
