Prince Charles Used to Adore Meghan Markle and Gave Her Lessons On Royal History, Expert Says

It was thought at the time that she got along well with Harry’s father, Prince Charles. Meghan and Charles spent a lot of time together, according to a royal expert, and he even taught her history.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and her husband, Prince Harry, have had a strained relationship with other royals since she stepped down as a senior royal in 2020.

Prince Charles walked Meghan Markle down the aisle

At the royal wedding, many royal watchers noticed Meghan and Charles’ closeness. Thomas Markle, Meghan’s father, was estranged from her and was unable to attend the wedding due to a heart attack. As a result, Charles was the one who escorted Meghan down the aisle.

In the BBC documentary Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70, Harry revealed that he approached his father about it.

“I asked him to, and I think he anticipated it, and he immediately said, ‘Yes, of course, I’ll do whatever Meghan needs, and I’m here to support you,’” Harry explained. “That’s a fantastic opportunity for him to step up and be that support, and as you know, he’s our father, so he’ll be there for us.”

Prince Charles reportedly gave Meghan Markle history lessons

In addition to giving Meghan history lessons, Charles is said to have assisted Meghan in another way.

“Charles was enamoured with her. According to Express, royal expert Emily Andrews said, “They had a lot in common, art, music.” “She [Meghan] used to go to Clarence House for what amounted to history lessons with Charles on the Royal Family’s history… Meghan had a thirst for knowledge, and Charles was a true historian.”

As a result, Charles and Meghan “had a really good relationship,” according to Andrews.

Prince Charles is allegedly estranged from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Many observers believe Charles and Meghan and Harry have become estranged. Meghan and Harry have been criticising the royal family in American media outlets since early this year. Charles has also been the target of a lot of criticism.

Harry complained about Charles cutting him off financially when the Sussexes had an explosive tell-all interview with Oprah.

“All I wanted was enough money to secure my family’s safety… I had to pay for our security,” Harry explained. “In the first quarter of 2020, I was cut off.”

Following that, he appeared on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast to criticise Charles’ parenting, claiming that Charles’ children are subjected to “genetic pain and suffering.”

Harry told Shepard, “He’s treated me the way he was treated.” “In any case, a lot of genetic pain and suffering is passed down. As parents, we should do everything we can to say, “You know what?” That is exactly what happened to me. I’ll make certain that doesn’t happen to you.’

“I never knew about it,” he added. And then, all of a sudden, I started piecing it together and thinking, ‘OK, so this is where he went to school.’ This is how it went down. This is what I know about his life. I’m also aware that it has something to do with his parents. So he’s treated me the same way he was treated, which begs the question, “How can I change that for my own children?”

Charles has remained silent on the situation.
