Princess Diana’s statue arrives at Kensington Palace ahead of unveiling

On July 1st, the late Princess Diana would have turned 60 years old.

Princess Diana’s statue has arrived at Kensington Palace and is now safely stored in a box on the grounds, ahead of its official unveiling on Thursday, July 1.

On what would have been her 60th birthday, the special event will be held to honour the late Princess of Wales.

In their first joint engagement since the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral in April, her children Prince William and Prince Harry will both be present.

Harry has flown to London from California, but Meghan will remain at their Santa Barbara home with their youngest child, Lilibet Diana, who was born earlier this month, and son Archie, who is two years old.

Lili was given the middle name Diana in honour of her late grandmother, just like Princess Charlotte.

The Duke of Sussex was seen being chauffeured in a van from London Heathrow Airport on Friday afternoon, according to The Daily Mirror, ahead of the unveiling.

Photographs published by MailOnline showed him arriving at Los Angeles International Airport the night before his flight to London.

Harry must self-isolate for five days until he can perform a “test to release,” which will allow him to leave self-isolation if the result is negative.

His cousin, Princess Eugenie, now lives with her husband Jack Brooksbank and their baby son August, who was born in February, at the Sussexes’ UK residence, Frogmore Cottage.

“Eugenie and Harry have always been close and they chat privately all the time,” a friend told HELLO! after Eugenie and Jack moved into the house in November 2020.

“It was Harry who suggested she and Jack use Frogmore Cottage instead of their Kensington Palace cottage because it is much larger. It’s a case of one member of the family reaching out to another.”

Prior to his grandfather’s funeral, Harry was quarantined at the royal residence.

According to reports, the Duchess of Cambridge will assist Prince William and Prince Harry in presenting a united front when they meet at the unveiling during the family gathering.
