Yesterday, details of yet another private discussion between Prince Harry and members of the Royal Family were leaked, adding to the Palace’s increasing irritation. According to the Mail on Sunday, Prince Charles informed the Duke of Sussex that he would “never” allow his grandson Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor be a Prince. “This has been leaked by a friend or a source within the Sussexes camp,” Charlie Rae, a former royal journalist at The Sun, claimed.
“We have a scenario where Harry and Meghan have decided they no longer want to be members of the royal family,” Mr Rae said on talkRADIO.
“It’s great that they want to live in America and be self-sufficient. They can’t expect Archie to grow up to be a prince.
“Prince Charles has long said that he wants the monarchy to be reduced in size.
“He wants the working royals to be a limited group of individuals.” If Harry and Meghan had chosen to remain, they would have been included.”
“Was this as a consequence of Harry and Meghan saying we don’t want to be senior royals anymore, so Charles said, ‘Well fantastic, that’s made my job simpler, we won’t make your children princes or princesses then,'” Cristo questioned on TalkRADIO. “Was this something that had been planned all along?”
“It was the first scenario,” Mr Rae said. Don’t forget that Archie is still the Earl of Dumbarton, but the couple chose not to use that title.
“Some people believed they were sitting back, waiting for Archie to become prince one day, but they were mistaken.
“It puts Meghan’s remark that the royals didn’t want Archie to be a Prince into perspective.”
“It’s fascinating that this has occurred.
“And this was released by a friend or a source in the Sussexes camp, and now we know why they were so vehement in the Oprah Winfrey interview.”
Leaks from the pair have previously irritated Palace officials, with Majesty magazine’s Ingrid Seward saying that the royals “detest” their intimate talks being leaked to the public.
If details of further private conversations were exposed in the public, she added, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would “really create an issue.”
A source close to the pair told the Mail on Sunday that “Harry and Meghan were assured Archie would never be a Prince, even when Charles became King.”
According to reports, Charles informed Harry that he would alter a crucial document that would prevent his grandson from receiving a title that was previously his birthright.
It also explains Meghan’s March remark to Oprah: “They [the Royal Family] were saying they didn’t want him to be a Prince or a Princess.”
“This is what no one realized from the interview,” an insider said. The truth was that Charles planned to actively work to deprive Archie of his ultimate birthright.”
